@hadriantulk hails from a prestigious family of successful real estate and business owners in the UK, dating back to the English Victorian/Renaissance Era, his ancestors influenced the law of England in the landmark UK land law case of Tulk v Moxhay (1848). Born in London, UK, Hadrian began his journey in real estate in the UK in 2003, learning from his family, as well as property mentors with real estate portfolios and agencies of their own.
Hadrian is a holder of two UK law degrees, including a Masters with Distinction in International Law. He ventured into law to help the most vulnerable members of UK society and beyond, whilst growing his commercial and real estate law knowledge. Part of Hadrian’s vision is to utilise his knowledge of law and skills in real estate to provide high-quality housing for the most destitute in UK society. He frequently works with the homeless and homeless charities to help rehouse vulnerable adults. In terms of his international profile, Hadrian has significant experience in international trade negotiations and diplomatic experience. He has expertise in International Trade and WTO law, Public International law, International Litigation, Arbitration and Investment law, as well as Financial Services law. Hadrian has worked in international and UK national law firms, and international bodies such as the UN, ITC, IMF and the WTO.

Q & A
Q: Talk about one challenge you faced on a recent project; how did you work towards finding a solution?
In 2021, one of our esteemed clients from the US approached Sov- ereign to make their dream relocation to Dubai with their young family, after suffering heavily in their personal life due to the wider circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. Many restrictions were still in place during this time in Dubai and the US, which made arranging flights, viewings, and accommodation chal- lenges. I did not want the client to miss out on the rapid develop- ments being built in the shifting dynamic in Dubai to a family ori- entated and cosmopolitan environment. I was determined to help them achieve their dream. I worked quickly to engage with devel- opers virtually, embracing the new technologies and virtual reality facilities that were becoming so prominent and popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. This included bringing the client as close as possible to the properties I found for them and listening to their feedback at every step of the way to help them narrow down their ideal location. Through Sovereign, we took steps to navigate the travel regulations and consult the client on their travel to Dubai, deploying our team to arrange appropriate accommodation for them as part of our relocation services package and supporting and guiding them around Dubai on their arrival to reassure them further. By acting in this way, Sovereign was able to deliver on its hallmark of providing the highest quality, personalised service, whilst ensuring the client was able to get that dream fresh start in life they wanted, in the time they wanted.
Q: It seems you have very specific targets in terms of clients. What does your typical clientele look like? What are their job and lifestyle?
Our typical client looks like, based on our trends, business groups or individuals looking to invest in off-plan developments or al- ready established properties in Dubai to expand or diversify their investment portfolios, as well as some commercial properties or development sites for our largest clients. At Sovereign Advisory, as our name implies, we also work closely with distinguished fam- ily offices and high net worth individuals who seek a luxury life- style or relocation to Dubai. 80% of our deals are based on our client’s desire to achieve or expand their luxury lifestyle. Q: What do you think makes a good Project Management Firm?
I think project management, as a profession, has changed a lot through the years and has produced many good project managers who have risen to higher levels, consulted worldwide, and often started their organizations due to their broader understanding of business principles. Within the project management profession, a manager quickly becomes well-known in a very short period; cli- ents can naturally identify those project managers who are good. I think that the key attribute of a project management firm is the need for the necessary expertise and confidence, expertise at its heart, but what goes beyond a good firm and makes a great proj- ect management firm is the leadership skills to guide a client and establish a clear map of the road to a successful outcome. As a communicator with a strong background in the legal profession and stage acting, I have learned that communication and presenta- tion skills are essential to help a client navigate the often-complex challenges and different parts that make up a project, clearly, and accessibly to the client’s unique ways of communication. That will be the same no matter the project that is managed, be it breaking down the steps for a cryptocurrency funded investment, a Fintech or Blockchain project, the principles behind and steps involved in getting a mortgage for a property, or the distinguishment between the mainland and the various free zones in Dubai. These are, of course, all aspects Sovereign can advise on; embodying all these characteristics I’ve just mentioned.
Q: Dubai has a huge market for real estate and has well-established firms working in it. What makes your firm different?
A great question – one that I think can be best answered through applying our choice of description for our real estate service. The word ‘Sovereign’ could be defined as a state possessing supreme or ultimate power, including, status and responsibility for others’ lives.
