Who Is your favorite director to work with and why?

My favourite director to work with is Vignesh Shetty. Vignesh and I got along really well and he actually found me at the script reading for Guest In London and put me forward to work in Barcode. Vignesh was not afraid to push me. One day I was feeling flat on the set of Barcode and he pulled me up on it straight away. He was like “Lucinda whats wrong? You’re flat’ Do you need coffee?’ I could not believe it. Vignesh was an incredible judge of character and knew when I was off. Haha I definitely did need coffee as I had not had any sleep the day before..

Ever since that point I knew he was great as he knew me and my capabilities from the short time we had spent on set together.

Any goal for this year on the personal or professional front?

My goal is to be filming on a film set here in Australia. I feel so lucky to be here. I think we are one of the very few countries that have maintained the outbreaks this far and therefore we have an opportunity to live a somewhat normal life compared to many other countries that have been tragically affected.

If I could stay in Australia close to my family I would be very happy as the majority of my family is here.

For the most part of my career my work has always been overseas so I have only ever known leaving Australia to work overseas, this year with the pandemic affecting many people around the world.

Share your biggest career challenge so far?

My biggest challenge is not being able to travel. Travel made up so much of my career and now I cannot just hop over to another country or state to do a show or shoot. It has been very limited in this regard.

If we ask you to admire any part of movie making what would be like?

I believe every part of the filmmaking process is incredibly important. Pre-shoot, shooting and post-shoot are all vital in the end result. Each stage is equally as important and with shoots there are a lot or variables that can affect it (weather, cast being sick, locations being unavailable and so on..), so being over prepared is the only option.

Your dream character or role ?

My dream character is being a Hero in a Marvel film. I love fantasy, superhero films. I want to be a part of something that takes people into another reality for 90 minutes.

You look absolutely stunning and fit in personal life.  Would like to share the secret to maintain it ?

Habits. Ever since I was young I have been in the habit of exercising almost daily. Doing some type of outdoor fitness activity or class has been my go to. Whenever I have spare time outside of work it is the first thing I prioritise. I drink a lot of water and include raw vegetables and fruits into my diet.

How do you look fitness in personal life ?

For me fitness carries over from personal to professional life for me. Staying fit and healthy is a lifestyle not a chore to look good only for my work. It is to feel good and be happy all round.

What’s your favorite body part exercise ?

It’s important to look after the whole body. Yoga is my favourite as it works on the entire body’s muscle groups.

Lots of readers of our magazine are teenagers and early 20s – Any tip for being a Role Model for them?

I would say that whatever your dreaming is possible, you just need to keep telling yourself that. Even if you have no one telling you, just remember the only one responsible for your life and the power and happiness is within you. Keep the faith always.

How do you look upon the current pandemic for future projects & challenges for  newcomers who want to make a career in bollywood ?

That is a really good question. Even I have a hard time answering this. This pandemic is so unprecedented, so unpredictable, really it is hard for anyone right now to predict the future of cinema and even the future in general. I would hope that in a world post the pandemic, there would be an abundance of opportunities.

You are a supermodel and successful actress; expectations are really high – how do you manage pressure from peers and society?

Thank you for the compliment. I understand that I have put myself into an industry where I am in the public eye and for that there is a responsibility, an accountability. There are high expectations but following my dreams and loving my craft outweighs those pressures. I count my blessings every day for the opportunities that have been presented to me.

Any new projects coming up this year?

I am thankful to be working with some great brands and taking on brand ambassador roles this year.

Acting in film is my main priority so I am scoping out the right role and opportunity.
