Tycoon global brings you an exclusive interview with the Business magnate of Dubai.

Q1 –  Dubai has become a hub for real estate developers or for that matter any new venture. People have started investing in Dubai exponentially. What are your views on this?

Dubai is better than any country in terms of ease of doing business. You cannot compare Dubai with any country in the world in infrastructure, in planning and getting approvals. All the formalities here are very smooth. Dubai is a different country all together.

Q2 – You started to invest in hospitality sector with Hotel Rotana. Can you tell us something about it? And how do see the growth of hospitality sector in Dubai?

I think hospitality business has just started in Dubai. After Covid-19, the whole world wants to come to Dubai. The hospitality sector will see a bloom. It is going to grow more and big.

Q3 – You are know for your charity work. You have also opened many hospitals in India. How do you feel about this?

I feel very proud. When I make money it doesn’t make me happy but charity brings happiness. I sleep really well when I do charity.

Q4 – You are known for your love for numbers like you own D-5 (single plate number for Rolls Royce). Can you tell us something about it?

I am a number guy. I love numbers. So, whenever I invest in real estate, I go to buy a new house, do any new business or even I give cheques, I make sure it has number 9 on it. Number 9 is my favourite number. Also, I would like to mention here that all the money that I spend on buying these numbers, it goes for charity. It goes for good cause.

Q5 – You are known to be a great admirer of Dubai Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE. Can you tell us how do you see him as an inspiration

I don’t have words to praise him. And who is not inspired by him. It’s not just me but whole country is inspired by him.

Q6 – You are often seen wearing blue colour and have also mentioned it that it’s your luck colour. Is there any back story attached to it?

Blue is my lucky colour. It has been my favourite colour for last 30 years. My first car was of blue colour. I believe in the supremacy of nature. I feel connected to nature. Blue is the colour of sky and ocean and I love this colour. And it has turned out to be lucky for me over the years.

Q7 – Any message for Tycoon magazine readers or young entrepreneurs who look up to you?

I would love to tell the youngsters and I always say this in all my interviews,

respect your parents. Everything comes from their blessings. Every inspiration flows from them. And focus. I never do two businesses at a time, not even two projects. I focus on one thing at a time and give my best at it and it turns out to be the best. I would love to advise youngsters the same.
