Born and raised in Turkauliya, Naghma’s early years were steeped in simplicity and tradition. However, her thirst for knowledge and ambition knew no bounds. Completing her matriculation from Shri Raja Ram High School Turkauliya, she embarked on a path less travelled, setting her sights on higher education in the field of Information Technology at Aligarh Muslim University.
Undeterred by the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated field, Naghma persevered, earning her MTech in Computer Science and Engineering, thereby becoming the first woman from her village to hold a professional degree in STEM. Her achievement was not merely personal but a beacon of hope for countless girls in her community, proving that with determination and hard work, no dream is too big to chase.
But Naghma’s journey didn’t end there. Fuelled by a desire to serve her community and break barriers, she set her sights on the civil services. Despite the demands of married life and motherhood, she remained undeterred, cracking the 67th BPSC in her third attempt, a testament to her unwavering perseverance and resilience.
