Ashutosh Pandey, a Varanasi native, rose from adversity, excelling in VFX, co-founding Reflection Pictures Studio with Abhishek. Ashutosh perseverance and leadership navigated the studio through the pandemic, contributing to successful film projects, including India’s first globally released film.

1. Beginning your animation journey post-12th grade, what inspired your transition from a medical store to pursuing animation, leading to graduation at Arena Animation? Share insights into how this unexpected shift occurred and the motivations that fueled your commitment to building a career in the dynamic world of animation.

Ans. Embarking on my animation journey in 2011, I was captivated by the creative possibilities the field offered. The inspiration stemmed from a profound passion for animation and the aspiration to transform that passion into a fulfilling career after completing my 12th grade. Despite my initial role at a medical store, the magnetic pull of animation prompted a career transition. Motivated by the pursuit of formal education, I chose to undertake graduation at Arena Animation, recognizing it as a crucial step in honing my skills and translating my passion into a profession.

2. Facing personal tragedies in 2014 and 2016, including your father’s accidents and passing,
undoubtedly posed significant challenges. How did these experiences shape your determination and
resilience in establishing Reflection Pictures Studio? Additionally, relocating your family to Mumbai in
2016 was a crucial decision; how did you balance family responsibilities amid the challenges of
building your VFX career?

Ans. The personal tragedies became catalysts for unwavering determination. Motivated to triumph over adversity not just for myself but also for my family, the challenges propelled the establishment of Reflection Pictures Studio as a testament to resilience and a creative triumph. Relocating my family to Mumbai was indeed a pivotal decision. Balancing familial responsibilities with a burgeoning VFX career demanded meticulous planning and a robust support system. Strategic decision-making and an unwavering commitment to both family and professional objectives facilitated the delicate balance.

3. In establishing Reflection Pictures Studio in 2018, what key entrepreneurial challenges did you encounter, and how did overcoming them shape your leadership approach and business strategy?
Can you pinpoint a pivotal moment from the studio’s early days that significantly influenced your
entrepreneurial journey?

Ans. Entrepreneurial challenges, such as client acquisition, financial stability, and establishing the studio’s identity, were met with strategic networking, financial acumen, and an unyielding commitment to delivering high-quality work. Overcoming these hurdles laid the foundation for a positive reputation in a competitive market. Securing a significant project or client in the early days marked a pivotal moment. This success underscored the importance of a strong work ethic, effective leadership, and a client-centric approach. It shaped my commitment to maintaining high standards and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment within the studio.

4. Upon arriving in Mumbai in 2010, you transitioned into Visual Effects. Could you elaborate on the
story behind this shift and how you honed your skills in the industry? Your noteworthy tenure at Dneg,
working on Hollywood films from 2011 to 2016, is impressive. How did this experience contribute to
your growth, and what valuable lessons did you learn?

Ans. Upon my arrival in Mumbai in 2010, personal and family challenges prompted me to explore new opportunities. A friend’s suggestion led me to the field of Visual Effects, where I immersed myself in learning the necessary software. My journey began as a Roto artist at Prime Focus and Dneg, providing me with valuable hands-on experience and exposure to industry professionals. My time at Dneg working on Hollywood films was transformative. It not only enhanced my technical skills but exposed me to international standards of quality. The experience taught me the importance of collaboration, meticulous attention to detail, and the necessity of continuous learning in the dynamic landscape of the industry.

5. Among your successful projects like Ponniyin Selvan and Drishyam 2, can you highlight a film that holds special significance for you and explain why? Additionally, your venture into Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) is forward-thinking. How do you envision these technologies shaping the future of the media and entertainment industry, and what inspired this strategic shift?

Ans. While each project is meaningful, "Ponniyin Selvan& holds a special place. Collaborating with A. Mani Ratnam was a career milestone, and contributing to a narrative of historical significance made the project particularly memorable. The exploration of AR, VR, and AI is a strategic response to evolving industry trends. These technologies offer immersive and interactive experiences, redefining the future of storytelling. The inspiration comes from a commitment to innovation and anticipation of the changing preferences of audiences.

6. How did your collaboration begin, and what role has your friendship played in the success of Reflection Pictures Studio?

Ans. In 2017, Ashutosh and I initiated our collaboration, driven by shared aspirations and a love for visual storytelling. Our friendship laid the foundation for Reflection Pictures Studio, where our complementary skills foster a collaborative and creative environment. The trust and understanding we share as friends translate into a robust professional partnership, playing a pivotal role in our studio success and growth. Simultaneously, in 2017, Abhishek and I crossed paths, and our collaboration naturally evolved due to our mutual passion for visual effects and animation. Our friendship forms the core of Reflection Pictures Studio’s success, built on trust, shared values, and a common goal. Our ability to understand and support each other has created a positive working environment, contributing significantly to overcoming challenges and achieving milestones in our studio’s journey.

7. Can you highlight a project from Reflection Pictures Studio’s diverse portfolio that posed unique challenges, showcasing your team’s capabilities? Additionally, with the global release of Kill , how does this film represent a milestone for both the studio and the Indian film industry?

Ans. Abhishek and Ashutosh both consider Drishyam as a standout project for Reflection Pictures Studio, showcasing the team’s creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise. The project’s success highlighted the studio’s adaptability and versatility in overcoming challenges within the dynamic field of visual effects and animation. Q- How did he acquire the knowledge?
He has been one of the lead singer of Ancient Thirupugazh in Om Shri Angalingeshwarar temple since the year 2000, where, apart from singing he also learnt basics of Indian instruments like Harmonium, Jalra, Thabla and Mirdhangam. In 2013, there was a requirement for a singer online by a music director who was making an album for his Church. Karthikeyan had made a few minor corrections which is when he realised he has a niche for Music and this is where he got the idea of Music direction.

He started his first music direction on an outdated iPhone 5s Everything from then on was self taught from google, youtube and conversations with Music experts. He was very fond of Chritmas carols and was a part of a choir and also acquired knowledge of western music. He can play Thabla, Mirdhangam, Keyboard (Western), Harmonium and Accoustic Guitar.

Sports and Academics:
He is a National level Boxer and Kickboxer. He has won a national level gold medal in WAKO India Federation Cup 2019. He has also won many State and zonal medals in Boxing and has worked as a Asst Chief Coach in an international fight Club. He funded his own education during college and used to work the night shift while he attended his engineering college in the daytime. He is a Computer Science engineering graduate with 12 years of work experience with companies like Amazon, Dell, WNS, First Advantage & 24/7 and found his passion for Music & acting in 2019 which triggered his Career change.

At a very young age when I did my first film Rockstar, I realized that I loved to act, and I was enjoying it.

Q: You are an incredible comedian, host of Super Dancer, also famous as “TRP Mama”, How are you actually in real life?

TRP mama has brought me love, from the industry and the audience. The character makes kids laugh, adults converse and the old people connect with the compositions. It has brought me the love of the whole family. TRP mama is a very special role for me and will continue to be. It is similar to first love, I have lived through the character these four years. Although the character of Mamaji is different in terms of the way he speaks, the body language and all, except for the poetry, that is the bridge for me and my character

Q: If you are made to choose between television and cinema, which one would it be?

Of course films. Because I am addicted to movies. This was the reason I moved here. It was the big screen that brought me here. It’s a different experience. Undoubtedly television is a strong medium, however, if a choice has to be made, I would try not to leave things altogether, but it would be Cinema for me. Although, I won’t be leaving Television as long as all goes well.

Q: What is one thing that television taught you, that you would like to share?

The most crucial thing I learned from television is that things can be improved at the eleventh hour if you are dedicated; cause there isn’t much time. It is undoubtedly a challenging environment to work in, cause you work twelve hours a day, that too daily. It isn’t like the cinema, where you complete things within a limited time, here we deliver work every week. Television is like a rebirth for me. The character of Mamaji is a rebirth for me. It made me a well known name and was the reason my work was applauded.

Q: How is working on television different from that in theatre?

Television actors, I haven’t been a true television actor as in, never did daily soaps. I am not a typical TV character starring in TV serials. I debuted in reality shows and did crime petrol. Mamaji is also a character. So for me, it was similar to doing on-screen theatre.

Q: What are your views on OTT platforms?

OTT is hope, it has been a source for the actors to reinvent themselves. I have done one show for Hotstar and others are coming soon, on Hotstar and Amazon.

Q: Did you ever imagine yourself playing Devi Prasad?
Playing a character or a role has been a dream. I feel like the terms
‘hero’ or ‘central character ‘, these definitions have changed now.
What exists now is a Character. About ‘Janhit Me Jari’, it discusses
a crucial topic, that needs to be discussed and understood by all
and does not continue to remain a taboo. It is a revolution. The

Amanpreet Karnawal has received praise across media channels for being a fantastic performer and a multifaceted individual. Here is the transcript of her conversation with Tycoon Global Magazines.

Q: You have also walked runways. Would like to know more about it. How has it shaped your persona?
Runway makes a person confident, strong and responsible. This is one thing that I firmly believe in and have experienced. Since adulthood, glamour has been the state of my mind hence runway was one of the milestones that I had aimed for. I’ve witnessed my own journey of transformation from being a nobody from a small town called Shri Ganganagar in Rajasthan to being an Elite Ms India Earth, 2015. The grinds of the profession and the pressure shaped me up in a way in being focused, and dedicated; helped me develop a ‘never give up attitude’ and all this while my motivation was the runway. It is thrilling to walk on the runway and look into the eyes of the people. It taught me to always keep my head high even in my not- so-good times.

Q: You work out and take care of your health. How has your fitness evolved throughout these years?
“You can either suffer the pain of discipline or the pain of regret.” I come from an army family, hence discipline and fitness have been inculcated in me since childhood. I believe a healthy and fit body is a way to a healthy and focused mind which helps you in achieving the goal of your life. For me, fitness is something that keeps me alive. I started working out at the age of 14-15, and I remember my father used to make me run every morning, and I used to play volleyball and found it as a way to rejuvenate myself. Slowly I started workouts in the gym and even during the pandemic, I never left my fitness regime for a miss. I used to do skipping, and yoga to keep myself physically and mentally fit. It’s been nine years; I’ve never missed my workout. I am a person whom you will see in perfect shape, 365 days a year.

Q: You recently featured in a music video, how has the experience been? Well, the experience was good, in fact, ‘awesome’ as this opportunity knocked on my door post-Covid when everybody re- started living freely. For me, it was a chance to relive my life as an actor after a forced time-out of almost a year. The song, when released, got me so many positive and beautiful comments and reviews from so many people and that made me actually feel alive and pepped me up.It was a romantic song and romance has been a flavour of all seasons.

Q: What about your upcoming projects?
Perseverance always pays and God too never fails those who are perseverant. You will soon see me in an International song and a song based on a poem of Late Shri Shiv Kumar Batalvi Ji with a known singer and an actor. I have finished shooting the International song, and it is in post-production at the moment. Babaji blessed me with these two things which will always be close to my heart. I look at this as a milestone in my career and life that I have achieved. Other than this I have finished shooting two digital ads for a leading home furnishing brand and two ads for an IT-based app, and soon you will see the ads in the digital space. I have a few more digital ads lined up back-to-back for domestic brands and one for an international German-based healthcare company. Other than the ads, two more acting-based projects i.e. a web film for a leading OTT and a web series, are on the cards. Keeping my fingers crossed.
Q: What is your favourite flavour in acting?
I feel acting gives us a chance to play many shades of a human as well as live many lives in one. I enjoy every role that touches my heart. I am effortless when it comes to glamour and playing a semi-rural woman with a comical touch. Negative shade is something I am confident of essaying very well and I am sure, I will leave people surprised

Zoya Afroz: Actor and Miss India International 2021, Featured in Tycoon Global Magazine

Zoya is a charming and multi-talented actress who has won multiple beauty pageants and is passionate about her dream career. She navigated her industry journey and shares her knowledge and upcoming endeavours with Tycoon Global Magazine.

Q: We know that you have worked as a child artist in many films,
how did that come your way?

The year I was born, my family moved to Mumbai. It started right
then – as the universe conspired to put me under the spotlight and
let the world see my talent.
But it took a lot of hard work by my parents – to take me to several
auditions and screen tests while maintaining the balance between
my education, skills and talent. At the age of 3, I was locked in for a
multi-starter big Bollywood film “Hum Saath Saath Hain” through
an audition I gave, and from there my acting career began

Q: Miss India 2013, Miss India International 2021, Miss International 2022 and many more, how was the journey behind receiving all three pageants?
I have won – Femina Miss India Indore 2013, Femina Miss India 2013 and Miss India International 2021. So I will be representing India in Tokyo, Japan in December 2022 at the Miss International pageant. The journey has been very enriching. I have learned so much, met so many wonderful people, travelled around the world, and got to voice my opinions on topics that matter the most to me. Finally, I got the opportunity to represent my country on the
international stage, and I am exhilarated. December 13th is the finale – which is surprisingly my lucky
number! But still, wish me luck

Q: How was the experience working with legendary actor Ravi Kishan Ji in your Web Series “Matsya Kaand”?
We had an amazing cast for my web series on MX Player called “Matsya Kaand”. Working With all the legendary actors, including Ravi Dubey, Ravi Kishan, Piyush Mishra, Madhur Mittal and the other supporting cast was totally awe-inspiring. Not only because my cast was a set of really talented actors but also because they are such cool people. We had a blast shooting the series in Jaipur.
Q: How did you feel while playing “Urvashi” in “Matsya Kaand”?
My character “Urvashi” in Matsya Kaand is full of surprises. She is powerful, street-smart and a girl who knows how to get her way. She is a magician who loots people while showing them magic tricks. So hell yeah, I had way too much fun playing this character.

Q: What is your rationale behind supporting Girl child Education?
Education is the very foundation of your growth. Not giving education to your child is like cutting their wings off before they learn to fly. Every child has the right to education, but unfortunately in our country and around the world, many girls are taken out of school or not even sent to school in the first place. Girls are our
future, they need to be nurtured and specially educated so they can uplift not only themselves but also others around them
Q: Why do you think it is essential for women to gain financial
Independence?
For women to gain any independence they must be financially independent first. So they don’t have to depend on anyone to care for them and their needs. Once a woman is financially independent nothing can stop her from reaching her highest potential.

Q: What do you think is the biggest problem faced by young people?
A lot of their time is wasted on socialmedia which can be used to sharpen up their skills, or which can be used to spend quality time with their loved ones. This addiction to social media leads to a lot of mental health
issues and is the biggest problem our generation is facing.
Q: What does it mean to be a modern woman?
To me, a modern woman is someone who moves ahead with time, holds her culture in the highest regard and never compromises her values for anything. She empowers herself and leads the way to empower others.
Q: You were already a child artist, then why did you choose to participate in the Miss India beauty pageant?
I have a lot of goals in my life and winning a crown for my country is at the top. Acting is something I love to do and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. It gives me immense joy as an artist to perform and entertain everyone.

Q: What is your fitness routine?
It’s simple. Eat healthily. Stay hydrated. Workout 5 times a week.
Q: What do you do to maintain this flawless look all the time?
Honestly, I don’t get bothered too much. I’m a happy-go-lucky child and I try to stay happy from the inside even when life throws adversities at me. I use it as a stepping stone to grow and make myself better and better. On the days when it gets too much to handle, I let go and remind myself that it’s ok to relax and let life flow. I think when you enjoy the little things in life you’ll forever look flawless and fabulous.
