Ans: The birth of Bengaluru Motorcycles and the subsequent addition of Bengaluru Motorcycles Cafe & Store was a collaborative journey blending my automotive passion and entrepreneurial spirit with Ashu’s rich background in journalism. Working part time in a Motorcycle Garage based in Melbourne, Australia gave me a little bit idea about how to go about opening a Garage. I realized how necessary it was to have a space which was open to everyone, which would let anyone to turn up and work upon their own motorcycles. Returning from Australia during the pandemic, I initiated the garage venture in Bangalore in February 2021. Two years into our successful journey, Ashu, my partner in life and business, joined the fold.

Ans: After graduating with a Mechanical Engineering degree, I always wanted to work at a place where I could apply all the skills that I learned during my degree. I looked for jobs and worked at different places but I eventually realized that it was better to create that kind of environment myself. Therefore, I started my own Motorcycle workshop that allowed me to apply all the skills that I gained during my college days. For example, I learned SolidWorks, a CAD software which helped me with motorcycle fabrication. Fluid dynamics helped me differentiate between oils and vehicle dynamics helped me understand different kinds of engine configurations. Application of these skills with the variety of bikes I repair at the workshop has helped me in ensuring the quality of services at the workshop.
